Meet Our Team
Philip is a former tech entrepreneur who sold his last start up, CyBerCorp.com in 2000 to Charles Schwab. He and his wife then became engaged in philanthropy, international aid, and community development through A Glimmer of Hope working in Ethiopia and Austin, TX. Most recently, he formed and funded Enable Impact to help Social Entrepreneurs get the capital and support they need to address global issues in a sustainable way.
David comes from an entrepreneurial and investment management background. He worked at HSBC and Merrill Lynch in their private wealth departments, focusing on proprietary private equity and venture products. David received his MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business and B.A in economics from Claremont McKenna College. In his free time he enjoys paddle tennis in Venice Beach, live music, skiing, and traveling.
Rob Johnson, CFA
Rob previously worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he provided investment management services to a select group of families and institutions. Rob is a CFA® charterholder, and holds the CAIA designation and Series 7 & 66 licenses. He earned an MS, Finance from DePaul University, and a BA from the University of Iowa. Rob is an avid footballer, cyclist, and enjoys live comedy.
James J Castle
Investments & Operations
James runs operations and assists with investments at Enable Impact. He holds series 82 and series 63 licenses. James graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Biology and a Business Foundations Certificate from the McCombs School of Business. His interests include biology, medicine, aviation, cars, meteorology, technology, and Baylor football.
Chelsea is a multi-disciplinary artist focused on visual design consulting, brand identity, and website design. She loves high quality craftsmanship, from a beautifully designed website to a hand-crafted pair of shoes. She also designs and handcrafts fine jewelry and clothing.
Nico recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A in Finance. He has experience working at the university’s endowment office as a finance intern. Before joining Enable, he worked in a start-up environment at a company called Hylyte, performing various roles (sales, ad campaigns, etc.). He enjoys spending his free time coaching tennis, staying active, and has a newfound passion for live music since moving to Austin.
